Summary 2008

Time flies..2009 is on its way.

Well..reflecting back..2008 has been an eventful, busy and stressful year for me.

Lily shared with us early in the year that 2008 will be a year of NO LIMITS. I embraced and hold on to this vision for the entire year. Many things happened..it has been a crazy year.
God is good and has been good.

What have I achieved?

- Helped and participated in Sunshine performance
- JAMs Easter Big day - acted and sing
- Did quite well for my two semesters in SIM this year
- Graduated with a Certificate of Distinction
- Went for SOT and graduated in Aug
- Learn driving
- Engaged in zone outreaches and activities
- Started a new job with NOVITA immediately after my final exams

This year is considered a tough year for me. Having to cope with the busy schedule and commitments, I have to balance my expenditures and manage my lifestyle. Ever since leaving the SAF after organising NDP 07, I have been relyin on my savings for the past 1.5 years. It is not easy...seriously and I'm not sure how I have done it. Thank God for His grace and mercy. I must admit that this is one of the years that I won't forget...

I'm happy that I went for SOT in the midst of my SIM studies. I really wanna thank CS for sponsoring me the SOT fees. It helps tremendously! Indeed it's a spiritual holiday with God during my SOT times. With the overwhelming presence of God and the renewing of mind through the word of God, it enlarges my spiritual life and walk with Him. At the same time, I have met many fun and happening friends in team 4 that made the term there awesome.

I faced a lot of challenges this year in many areas (Friendship, Studies, Ministry, Work, etc) that drains a lot of my energy. I have always been a positive person but come to think about it, this year I does faced some situation in this area...and the only way to overcome it is to be more positive. I was reminded not to rely on my own strength but to trust God in everything. Haha being positive is part of me..if I am not positive then it's not me.

Be positive ah zhi!!!!

Besides this, I also wanna thank God for all the friends who have blessed me throughout the year..I appreciates it! I am one that don't really share a lot but these are gestures that I will remember.

Well on the other mode, I guess I have over-lamed tis year...hmmm..should control liaoz.

Haha on a whole..I am glad to tell myself that I dare to believe! I tried my best. =)

2009 will be the best year yet! God reigns!

It's been a month plus since I finished my exam...to be precise my final exam. Hmm got back results 2 days ago. Haha I've GRADUATED! woohoo!!I've cleared all my modules..the grades are quite ok =)

Thank God for grace. I managed to get a job immediately after my exam and currently in week 4 of my job oreadi. It's not easy..the pace is fast..learning curve is steep. But I am really thankful that even in this time of economy recession..I can still find a job that I wanted to do.

I'll be flying to Dubai next sat (13 Dec) for work and will be back on 20th Dec..haha in time for JAMs X'mas. Hmm the only thing is I cannot ACT in drama... =(

A blink of an eye...2008 is about to end in a few weeks time. This year I had achieved quite a lot...will share more towards year end. =)

I am tired...very very tired.

Went to help out Special rehearsal after a long day of work...without having dinner cos was late.
Left church around 11.10pm after helping to clear the stuff...took bus and wanted to take mrt...hoping to cut cost. In the end, WASTED $21 to take cab cos no more transiting train at Outram. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

If a person is unwilling to SACRIFICE 15 mins of his time for u...tis is what I termed aquantainceship. Sacrifice is to do it whether with a willing or unwilling heart or attitude. Guess there's realli no point for me to waste or invest....

Probably becos of my stay in the ARMY, I strongly believe in the spirit of comradeship..

Haha tues was my final paper. Strategic Marketing.

It's been 1.5 years of studies and in a blink of an eye...It's done.

Now is time to search for job.

Last Sun was my sis wedding. It was awesome. Everything went on smoothly. My mum was very happy =)

Got paper on wed on fri...it's gonna b a mad rush for my revision after the wedding dinner. But then..my God is greater =p He will give me double portion of strength and wisdom.

Done some errands for my sis's wedding on tues..had meeting also in the evening.

Started revision for Biz Finance yesterday @ SIM with ryan...haha next fri is the exam!

Met up with my poly buddies cum project mates (Bali, Deneng & Zon)yesterday evening @ Chinatown's KTV. It was a simple gathering meant to celebrate Zon's bdae and also his upcoming solemisation ceremony this coming sat..yes yes he is going to marry Kelly..so happy for him..

Deadlines are near.

Got a particular module - Strategic marketing...we changed 3 companies...from Qian Hu to Dynaforce to the current Brother. Our team morale quite low..tired..but still hanging on. The lecturer for that module CMI! Talk talk talk...beat around the bush...high ego...people go into his lecture and come out with a blur look. Project consultations with him are supposed to allow us have better understanding...but instead nothing comes out of it.

Been a while since my last post..
Time flies..it's almost been a month since graduated from SOT.
Had been busy with projects lately...meetings upon meetings..discussion and discussions.
It doesn't help when one of the team member was called up for 3 weeks reservice in the midst of the tight schedule. Initially our team havent really start the engine..and many of the work done was not really there yet. But gradually we rose up to the occasion. Slowly but surely we are going to end the race well.

Things havent really been going on well for me recently.

Haha lost a game of pool to my closest rival, Mel (7-5). Then Man U lost to Liverpool...sianz..
Didnt do well for Globus (one of my strategic marketing module), but at least I must say we put in effort..aiya it's a stupid game and waste of money.

Well you know..I choose to believe in the Positive! Great attitude sustains you in times of difficulties. My God will provide a way for me. All things work out well to those who love Him. I love my God.

Oh Who you are O mighty mountain! Before Arghhh Zhi...you shall become levelled ground. Haha a familiar verse we used in SOT. Woohoo rise up your inner man..wake up your mighty man of war.

Time flies...so fast 5 months have past. SOT was challenging, physically demanding but realli had lots of fun and made a lot of good friends. Team 4 rockz! Happy Graduation Team 4!

I'm realli blessed by what I had learnt in SOT. Of course, I have to thanks my beloved sponsor, CS and his family for blessing my SOT school fees. He has made my dream a reality.

At the same time, realli thanks all those who had realli blessed me in terms of Ang Baoz...dinner...etc etc. =) Thanks all my leaders, Lily, Santhi, Adiel for their understanding and support given.

Personally, God is good and He has given me the strength to cope and manage between SOT, SIM, work and ministry. Although it was quite tough but it's all worth it.

Gifts of Holy Spirit

This week we were taught on the Gifts of the Holy Spirit bible study.

The lessons were great and Pastor Ming really imparted a lot of knowledge to us.

There are 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit and they were classifed under three categories: Vocal, Power and Revelational gifts.

Vocal gifts
- Interpretation of Tongues
- Different kinds of Tongues
- Prophecy

Power gifts
- Faith
- Gifts of Healing
- Workings of Miracles

Revelation gifts
- Words of Wisdom
- Words of Knowledge
- Discerning of Spirits

A normal christian living should be moving in the supernatural

The doorway to the gifts of the spirit is through the Holy Spirit =)

Yesterday we had a short practical session on intepretation of tongues.
During the last 45 mins before lesson ends, we were told to form into groups of 7. From each group, there will be 1 person who will speak in tongues and another person will interpret that person's tongue. My group consists of mainly the brothers from team 4 (Jason, wenfu, teng hong, enoch, myself). Robbie and Johnny who were from other group joined us in this practical session.

It was really awesome and amazed to experience the moving of the Holy Spirit.

After the first pair who had done the practical, my friend (wenfu) and I volunteered to be the next pair. Haha in the end, Pastor Ming said that the next pair will depart and join other group. So wenfu and myself joined a new group that we do not know each other. This is the first time I move in the power of the Holy Spirit to interpret tongues.

God is good and His presence was tangible. Through the Holy Spirit, I interpreted and managed to speak a word of comfort and encouragement to a sister in her late 40. She was touched and broke down in tears. Indeed our God is alive. He loves us and knows what's going on in our life. He is always faithful even when we are faithless.

Exams over!!

woohoo...exams had finally ended yesterday! It has been an enduring 3 weeks of revision and preparation. =) I'm praying for good results for all my 5 exam modules.

Went out with my uni friends (mel, ryan, terence, stevie qiaowen, angie, lynn, evelyn and peiyan) to relax after the last paper. We had japanese sushi at Cathay, arcade gaming at PS, watched "What happened in Vegas" at PS, and finally supper at bugis. We had fun and went home about 1 plus in the mornin!

Attended SOT this morning! Santhi woke up early, bought breakfast (nasi lemak) and waited for me at cafe. It was a pleasant surprise and realli realli thank her for the effort and time spent =) She's not only a good leader but also a good friend to me.

Pastor Ming taught in SOT today. He brought us into a time of prayer and worship before starting the lesson proper. All of us were so touched by God's love towards us and what He had done in our life. The presence of God was so strong this morning. During the lecture, Pastor Ming stressed the importance of puntuality to us. According to the late Ed Cole, he mentioned that if you reached an appointment on the dote, you are already considered late. However, if you reach 15 mins earlier, it is then considered as early.

I take punctuality very seriously. It has slowly integrate and become one of the virtue of my life. I want to respect people's time and hope that people would also respect mine =) It's important to keep your word as well as your time.

Last but not least, Today is my BIRTHDAY!! I am 2_ years old. Hahaha for me to know..for you to find out.
Wanna thank God for putting friends in my life. Although there are good times and bad times, I believe that it's part of life experience and have faith that God will continue to put loyal and faithful people into my life!

Journey....

For every journey, there mus always be a start.

I registered for my Final theory test last monday. Took the test tis morning and managed to passed it!!Thereafter, I asked my friend for the contact of a driving instructor and arranged for my first driving lesson next monday morning. My journey towards obtaining a class 3 licence starts here....

Had started running almost everyday for about 4km since last thurs. Feels good, back on track towards fitness. Looking back at the good old days during OCS, I guess I need to train harder to get back in shape. Haha AHM & Marathon, here I come! Jiayou!!
